Miniature Tree

This tree is designed to fit in a 1/12 scale dollhouse. I’m going to post some directions for ornaments and other decorations, and the tree is the center of holiday decorations!

Materials:

  • I used sport weight medium green and worsted weight dark brown.
  • G-sized crochet hook for the base, H-sized crochet hook for the tree. Since you’ll probably have the same weight yarn, just use the same sized hook for all of it. The gauge is 7 sc = 1.75 inches.
  • Scissors to cut the yarn.
  • A needle with an eye big enough for yarn.
  • Hot glue gun (optional)

The base is completely optional. You may find that the tree sits flat without it.

Assembly
Sew pairs of the tree parts together, starting at the bottom and working around the outside to the top. Do not sew the straight side (the inside of the tree) together. You’ll end up with 6 tree segments. Sew the straight edges together, forming the tree. I started at the bottom so that I could shape the tree as I went.
Sew the two base pieces together inside row 2, do NOT whipstitch the edges together. Sew or glue the base to the bottom of the tree.
