Rainy Day Duck

I’m not done sewing, much as I’d like to be. I did get my son’s quilt finished, there are pictures of it on the Facebook page. But. I haven’t posted a monthly softy for April yet, so here it is.

This is sort of a play on the “Nice day for a duck,” saying. I grew up in a temperate rain forest and when it rains 9 months out of 12, you tend to hear a lot of sayings about the rain. Note that I did not glue the umbrella on; I really think the duck is adorable without it, and somehow the idea of giving my children a thin, hard stick-like-object conjures up more ER visits and facial scars.
