Cookies

Here’s another project that doesn’t require stuffing. Everyone loves cookies! My daughter stole one off the table after hearing that they were cookies and tried to take a bite out of it. Not quite the kind of cookie she was expecting!

Materials:

  • I used worsted weight medium brown, coffee, tan, and white; and sport weight yellow which I scaled up.
  • G-sized crochet hook. Size isn’t important with these, so I’m not including a gauge.
  • Scissors to cut the yarn.
  • A needle with an eye big enough for yarn.
  • Hot glue gun (optional)

All of the pieces are worked in rows.

1) ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join (6)
2) ch 1, *2 sc in each sc* around, join with sl st (12)
3) ch 1, *sc, 2 sc in next sc* around, join with sl st (18)
4) ch 1, *sc2, 2 sc in next sc* around, join with sl st (24)

Pecan

Sandwich Cookie (make 2 for the outsides of each cookie, and 1 for the filling)
1) ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join (6)
2) ch 1, *2 sc in each sc* around, join with sl st (12)

Assembly
For the chocolate chip cookie and the pecan sandy, line up top and bottom and whipstitch the edges closed. Glue or sew the pecan on top of the pecan sandy. For the sandwich cookie, DO NOT whipstitch the sides together. Instead, sandwich the layers together with the filling in the middle and sew through all three layers, just inside the outside edge.

  1. I love the chocolate chip cookies… I made a few for my daughter and she LOVES them… although I'm not sure she appreciated my hard work since she assumed it was a nose wipe at first and tried to blow her nose on one of them… (She's two)… and she was mad because the "oreo" didn't come apart… i think I'm going to try making the sandwich cookies again and put a magnet in them so they can come apart… Thanks for the patterns!

  2. Too cute! My daughter tried to do the same thing after trying to bite one of the sandwich cookies. I love the magnet idea!

  3. Thank you for sharing. Love the Pecans & will also make some Lemon sandwich cookies.
